There are many articles written on how to raise a feminist daughter but only a few on how to raise a feminist son. What are we really talking about? We are talking about raising a child that is allowed to experience their feelings and feel free to do activities which are not gender-specific.
Claire Cain Miller and Emily McCombs have each written wonderful columns about how to raise a feminist son. If you replace the word son with child, you now understand the concept.
How can you raise a child who helps out with any and all chores they are capable of: ironing or taking out the trash, cooking or cleaning, caring for their sibling, being empathic, understanding how to spend and save money and so on. This child will be able to take care of herself as an adult and take care of his partner.
What more can we parents hope for?
